Public Transport from the Central Station of Hannover
From the Central Station of Hannover to the Freie Waldorfschule Maschsee,
Rudolf-von-Bennigsen-Ufer 70 B
Subway No. 8, direction "Messe Nord", or Subway No. 2, direction "Rethen",
or Subway No. 1, direction "Laatzen/Sarstedt"
From the subway station "Hauptbahnhof" (directly under the Central
Station) to station "Altenbecker Damm" (= fifth station from Central
Station), then leave the train, walk in the direction the train was going and
leave the station straight ahead. Outside on "Hildesheimer Straße" continue in the direction the train was going to the first turn on the right
("Alte Döhrener Straße"). Turn right and go ahead to the dead-end-street "An der Engesode". As soon as this street changes into a footpath the site
of the "Freie Waldorfschule Maschsee" begins on your right hand side with
its school garden.
From the Central Station of Hannover to the Youth-Hostel, Ferdinand-
Wilhelm-Fricke-Weg 1
Subway No. 3 or 7, both direction "Wettbergen" or "Wallensteinstraße"
From the subway station "Hauptbahnhof" to the station "Bhf. Linden/Fischerhof"
(= sixth station from the Central Station, the fourth station above
ground), leave the subway, cross the street in direction "Fachhochschule".
Leave the school-site to your right, go straight ahead into the "Lodemannsweg",
move on and cross the "Lodemannsbrücke" (a bridge) until you get to
Ferdinand-Wilhelm-Fricke-Weg. Turn right and you will find the Youth Hostel
on your right hand side.
Bus No. 132, direction "Stadionbrücke", from the bus stop "Kröpke"
Leave the Central Station by foot in direction "Innenstadt" (City), move
straight ahead through the mall (pedestrian precinct) to the "Kröpke" (great
square). Then turn left passing the "Mövenpick" to the "Opernplatz". On
your right hand side you will find the bus stop of bus No. 132, direction
"Stadionbrücke". This bus runs from Monday to Friday every 15 minutes, on
Saturdays every 20 minutes and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. also every 20
minutes.
